SUMMARY:2024 Team Leader Academy - Scouting
DESCRIPTION:March 9 Team Leader Scouting Seminar\,  9 am – 3 pm.\n\nScouting Training is for anyone who has completed the Team Leader Special Handling Training in person and is planning on taking volunteers outdoors. It is a hands on experience where you will learn how to estimate the amount of trash\, evaluate the site for ability and safety\, assess logistics and determine how many volunteers are needed. There will be a brief classroom discussion followed by in the field learning. We will assess a site and then carryout the actual clean up to compare our estimate with actual data. Dress for the weather. Wear sturdy boots or shoes. Bring a water bottle and you team leader backpack.\n\nThe training will be held from 9 am to 3 pm at Columbia Bottom Conservation area (801 Strodtman Rd\, St. Louis\, MO 63138).
